Netball players from Prince William School in Oundle are celebrating after qualifying for the national championships.
The school’s under-14 netball team have reached the National Schools Netball Tournament for the first time ever after finishing as top runners-up in the regional championships which took place on Saturday (January 24th) at Oundle School.
The girls will now compete against the best teams in the country at the national finals at EIS Sheffield in March.
Headteacher Anna Hewes said: “This is an incredible achievement for the girls and is the first time in the school’s history that a Prince William School netball team has reached the national finals.
“On behalf of the whole school community I’d like to say a huge congratulations to the team and their coach, PE teacher Amelia Hodgson. We wish them the very best of luck at the national championships.”
