Careers and Post 18 Choices

At Prince William Sixth Form, we are committed to preparing students not only for academic success but for life beyond school. Our Careers Programme is designed to inspire ambition, broaden horizons, and equip students with the confidence and skills to make informed decisions about their future.

Every student benefits from access to a dedicated Careers Adviser, offering personalised guidance on everything from university applications and apprenticeships to gap years and employment. Our UCAS support is comprehensive and tailored, helping students navigate course choices, write compelling personal statements, and prepare for interviews.

We place a strong emphasis on real-world experience. All students are encouraged to undertake a week’s work experience placement in Year 12 that reflects their interests and career aspirations, helping them gain valuable insight into professional environments and develop transferable skills.

Our programme also includes a bespoke Sixth Form Careers Fair, bringing together universities, employers, and apprenticeship providers to showcase a wide range of post-18 opportunities. Regular apprenticeship talks and employer-led workshops further enrich students’ understanding of the evolving world of work.

At Prince William School Sixth Form, we don’t just prepare students for exams—we prepare them for life.
