Consultation on EMAT Admissions Policy 2026/27
We are currently consulting on EMAT's proposed admissions policy for the 2026-27 academic year.
The consultation period will run from Monday 11th November 2024 until Tuesday 31st December 2024, during which time parents and other key stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the admissions arrangements at any academy within the trust.
In accordance with the DfE’s 2021 statutory ‘School Admissions Code’ guidance, a school must consult on its admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years. For this reason, a consultation is currently being held to meet the trust’s statutory duty.
The substantive changes that have been made are as follows:
- Prince William School – increase Year 7 Pupil Admission Number (PAN) from 230 to 240 to reflect school capacity.
- Include Sixth Form Admissions process for Northampton International Academy and Prince William School.
- Add priority to staff children into oversubscription criteria for all schools within the trust.
- Clarification of approach to applications from children out of year group.
A full version of the proposed admissions policy is available using the link below, or in hard copy from the reception at any trust academy.
