The James Rutterford Trust

The James Rutterford Trust

Waitrose (Oundle) are currently featuring The James Rutterford Trust in their community support causes. If you are shopping there please don't forget to collect your green tokens and deposit in The James Rutterford Trust box. Below is some background of why the fund has been set up.

The fund was set up in 1993 in memory of James Rutterford, a former student of this school and member of the Army Cadets, who was killed in a car accident. James staged discos in Oundle so that youngsters in the area could enjoy local entertainment, these discos were continued by his parents and friends and the profits generated established the fund. The Trust is now funded by donations from local people and organisations and Mr. & Mrs. Rutterford’s fund-raising functions.

The Trust is targeted at families who need financial support to enable their children to take part in school activities, school trips, to provide equipment to aid their study or to support out-of-hours school activities.

The fund is not necessarily for people receiving benefits, there are many working families that may find themselves under financial pressures which may preclude their child from accessing school organised activities; where this is the case we request a letter to support the application.
