Art

Intent

We aim to encourage students to appreciate Art as a thinking subject, where ideas lead practice and to develop students’ use of their visual and creative skills so that they can understand others’ ideas and communicate their own, throughout their lives, no matter what their chosen career.

Introduction

Art offers students the opportunity to develop their creative and artistic expertise by exploring and investigating the work of a variety of artists and trialling a variety of media as they produce their own final outcomes. Creativity is a valuable transferrable asset that can enable students to tackle all types of issues.
