Prince William School requires a temporary Cover Supervisor to supervise classes for absent teaching staff. When not needed to cover absent colleagues, they may be required to do other tasks such as intervention work with small groups of students withdrawn from a class. The successful candidate will be resilient and resourceful, understand how to manage teenage behaviours, and be able to ‘think on their feet’.
Many staff use the experience of working as a cover supervisor as a stepping stone into teaching or other related fields of work involving working with young people.
Experience of working with young people is desirable, as is experience of working in a school environment. Experience of leading a class of children is not essential as training will be provided.
At the core of our school are our students. They are enthusiastic, well behaved and keen to do the best they can. We strive to provide them with the challenging and inspirational curriculum they need to prepare them for the ever changing world they will find themselves in. Our aim is simple; we aim to be the best school in Northamptonshire and beyond for every student, regardless of their ability, background or aspirations. We have achieved strongly positive Progress 8 scores for the last three years and we have high expectations of learning for all, staff and students.
We welcome colleagues who share our passion for engaging students in learning and inspiring them to achieve. If you share our passion for students and education, we would welcome your application.
There is a nursery on site that is run by a private company.
